Michael Orlando may not be a household name yet...but does the moniker Michael Vampire ring a bell?
That's right, Dead Girls Academy vocalist Michael Orlando is starting fresh with a new project that blows any of his previous work out of the water. His fresh musical venture is a story of redemption, growth, and new beginnings.
After living in the heart of Hollywood with Ronnie Radke (the infamous rocker from Escape The Fate and Falling In Reverse), the duo joined together to create a punchy rock 'n' roll masterpiece. "Alchemy" set out to tell the truths behind his life stories with the catchy goth rock twist that we love and expect from Michael.
After releasing their debut album in 2017, Dead Girls Academy was immediately on my radar. It felt inspired and modern while simultaneously reminding me of the bands that I grew up loving in my teen years.
I sat down with Michael before their big set at Welcome To Rockville festival in Jacksonville, FL to discuss the album, the stories behind the lyrics, his collaborations with Radke and Elvis Baskette, and more. Check it out below!
